Mind expanding and soul expanding. That’s what we are going for here. It’s not simple mechanics. It’s not just mashing a bunch of wild materials into an urn. It’s a full experience- a way to reconnect, refresh your senses and touch new threads of your creative core. These workshops and retreats are designed for a more gritty, but comprehensive flower experience.

After years of fine tuning my craft and developing my approach to floral, I’ve found that more often than not I need a flame of white hot heat to come from somewhere else or someone else. I can’t supply it all on my own. By connecting people from all over the globe at these gatherings we build community but we also deepen the well of our own mind’s ability to create. We discover new techniques, new rescources, scrap old habits, dust away all the cobwebs and start fresh.

This is a place we go to grow, to flex our creative muscles, to give ourselves reprieve from the demands of our work, and build something beautiful for no other reason than it feels good. It feels so good… to reconnect, to breath, to take time to notice, to really look at things. I know I need it, and I imagine many of my colleagues do to. We aim for these workshops to be a retreat, a place where we can all tap back into beauty for beauty’s sake and a place we look forward to returning to for inspiration and friendship.

I hope you will join us on one of these magical journeys and become part of the wonderful and vibrant tribe of Flowerwild alumni.
